The BWStor BW2000 cluster storage system is embedded with BWFS, which is the SAN sharing protocol developed by BlueWhale based on the out-of-band structure. The protocol adopts the direct data storage mode to give full play to the large bandwidth of the SAN environment. Moreover, it enables users to share files across different operating systems including Windows, Linux and Mac, and supports files larger than 2TB and PB-level drives.
Because of the high scalability, reliability and flexibility, BWStor BW2000 can meet the strictest application needs. Based on an open storage system structure, BWStor BW2000 provides a large bandwidth to support massive concurrent file I/O; composed of four groups of scale-out storage devices that are expandable horizontally, the product enjoys extraordinary performance and provides file sharing services that can be upgraded online without using the NAS units or management severs.
BWStor BW2000 is designed to meet enterprises' demand for mass data storage, including production of SD and HD video, multi-media video data storage, IPTV, video monitoring, small-to-mid-sized database, archive management and data backup. It can be widely used in fields such as broadcasting, security, government affair, education, Internet and SME administration.
Function Features:
1.Based on the cluster structure, integrating multiple devices to boost the file access performance.
By integrating multiple dual- or single-controller storage devices into a storage cluster, the product creates a virtual unified space to realize high-performance file access. The unified space is represented by one drive or mount point, or multiple drives or mount points in the operating system.
2.Integrated storage, supporting various protocols including iSCSI, NFS, CIFS and BWFS.
The product is able to provide different storage modes for different application modes using only one storage system, thus realizing the best performance. Moreover, it supports storage protocols including iSCSI, NFS, CIFS and BWFS.
3.Full-redundancy modules to deliver high data reliability and service continuity.
Parts including controllers, power supply, fans, hard drive, network and controlling software system are designed with full redundancy to prevent single point of failure (SPOF). The product applies the wireless cable module designing and supports hot plug. The BWmirror technology can ensure the continuity of file access and security of data when a Raid group fails.
4.Flexible cloud structure, strong capacity and performance scalability.
It supports online expansion of RAID, storage devices and the cluster file system. Increase of disks and controllers will boost the system's performance. Users can expand the system's capacity and performance according to their needs.
5.Out-of-band file virtualization, compatible with users' existing storage devices.
BW2000 supports out-of-band file virtualization to integrate the capacity and performance of users' existing iSCSI devices into a unified space, thus saving costs for users.
